To Love or to Assassinate?

This hypertext writing was based on our rewritten story of Lust Caution.

Our rewritten story swapped the identities of the two main characters. The heroine Wong Chia Chi was a university student and joined the Juntong with her schoolmates. After the character swap, she would be the head of the secret police department under the puppet government and the Female Hanjian in others' eyes. Mr Yee, in the movie, is the head of the secret police department under the puppet government and the Hanjian. After the character swap, he would be the male spy from Juntong.

The story was about Yee, a university student studying in Hong Kong. He and his friends in the university's drama club know a female Hanjian called Ms Wong. They wanted to assassinate her. Therefore, they choose a male buddy to approach and seduce Ms Wong. Yee was chosen to approach and kill Wong because of his handsome appearance. Unfortunately, this rough assassination plan was unsuccessful because Ms Wong did not trust Yee.

After a few years, Yee joined the Juntong and became a spy. He got the mission to approach Ms Wong. After receiving training from Juntong for approaching, Yee learnt how to please her through words, actions and his body. This time Yee was more accessible to Ms Wong than in the past because he had more practical experience playing the attractive young man in Ms Wong's mind. After dating and sexual behaviours in a few weeks, they became closer and had feelings for each other.

We would reinterpret this story from two different points of view in our main work.
